From The Principal’s Desk

Kia Ora to our wonderful community,

This past week has been full of many exciting events and happenings at school.

Firstly, Head Girl, Ella Conroy, is currently in Canada competing in the World Shotokan Karate Championship. We would like to wish Ella all the best and express how proud we are for all of
the dedication required to reach this level. We wish you the best of luck, we are all behind you.

On the weekend, our Jump Jam Team participated in the North Island Regionals in the prestigious Open Division. The girls won awards for Sportsmanship, Presentation (merit), Technical Execution (excellence), Creativity (merit), and Costume (merit), as well as coming THIRD overall. We are so very proud of the courage, hard work and dedication to reach this standard. Thank you to Tina Taylor and Maddy Hardie, who put so many volunteer hours into coaching. Thank you to the support of all of the whanau who travelled down to Tauranga to support the team, we once again were blown away with how amazing our community are.

On Tuesday, the rain stopped and we were able to hold our annual Athletics day. Well done to all of the children, you all participated and encouraged each other to the highest level. Next
week we will have a team attending the Waiuku Group Day. Good luck to each and every student who attends. Once again, thank you for the support in another school event.

Regards,
Eamonn Kelly – Principal
